Thanks to our extensive network, we can usually provide a qualified surveyor on relatively short notice, depending on the season. Upon request, we can also manage the entire survey process, including arranging for the vessel to be lifted or dry-docked.
These surveys are conducted before purchasing a vessel to assess its technical condition. This process helps to identify any potential issues that could result in unexpected expenses after the purchase.
Appraisal surveys are used to determine the market value of a vessel. These are often required when a third party, such as a bank, is financing the purchase. Additionally, appraisal surveys may be necessary when importing a vessel to determine import duties or VAT.
Certain flag states require Flag State Surveys as part of the vessel registration process. These surveys assess whether the vessel meets the safety standards and construction requirements set by the flag state’s regulations.
